As mentioned right at the beginning of this report, when you are looking at a Google search results page, what you see at the top left hand corner and down the right-hand side of the page are paid adverts.
There is no doubt that in terms of generating targeted traffic to a site quickly, there is nothing more effective than placing AdWords adverts on the search results pages but of course, doing so costs money.

I’ve been busy recovering from my illness… and working on a new project.

Sorry for the lack of updates lately everyone, I’m still recovering from a nasty cold and I’m really not good at dragging my buns out of bed when I’m sick. That being said, the show must go on, and it will today with the sixth installment in the Website Series.

In an interesting bit of news today, Yelp.com, an online user-driven portal where anyone can write a review of any business they’ve patronized, is looking down the barrel of a class-action lawsuit from a Long Beach-based animal hospital.

Well everyone, I just got back from half an hour of frantic clicking to try and get into the first wave of the Lockerz paid redemption.

Naturally, the site was having “technical issues” until the last possible minute (literally, it was 6:59 when I got in and it ended at 7).

Big shock, I got over to the redemption site, signed in, and…….. every prize was gone.

I’ll try to keep everyone updated as more comes in… a few members are saying that they managed to redeem, a lot of very nasty posts are being made on the Lockerz Facebook page… which, if they’re true to form, will be taken down soon so they don’t have their feelings hurt.
